For the Homeless
Box City Annual Project

The Royal Oak High School InterAct Club

Interact's Box City (annually in May) brings together ROHS students to live in cardboard boxes on the front lawn of Royal Oak Middle School.  Students raise pledges and accept donations to divide between the South Oakland Shelter and international homeless such as OxFam America's Haiti Homeless Project and American Red Cross efforts in Japan.  In two years we have raised over $3000 in just 12 project hours of cold cardboard, good music, and fun.
