"Pop" Culture

  

    • Mass culture, consumerism
    • Eventually the object of art is lost and art becomes its own object: conceptual art
    • Minimalism is shapes which refer only to themselves.
    • Op art works to affect the eye, not the brain
    • Postmodernism is art that is self-critical and self-aware
    • Sometimes called neo-dada.
