Class Goal: To decide if the fictional gangsta rap group Baby Killas should be allowed to distribute their premiere CD which is filled with graphic descriptions of violence against women and children.
Group Goal: To represent your organization appropriately both in writing and speaking, backed by a well-considered and research position. To compromise where necessary to achieve your position. Bonus points to groups that succeeed in achieving their group goal.
Individual Goal: To participate actively in research and argument preparation; to take an active role in negotiation, either publically or behind the scenes.

We will spend the first few days in research and strategy prep. The week before spring break will be a 3-4 day simulation and negotiation session. Here is a rough itinerary.

Opening Statements

Caucus: 30 minutes to meet behind the scenes to make deals.

Arguments

Each group receives 10 minutes to present their positions and to question other groups. If they do not use the entire time, the remainder of time is offered to other groups to question them.

Each group that did not present is offered 2 minutes to speak in rebuttal (they may pass).
